The Story Continues...

Just beginning.......

Well, this is my first. I've been reading several blogs written by some amazing Christian ladies recently that have truely inspired me. Just thought I'd see if I could do it, too.
Today was a wonderful day. Full of love and learning. MC woke up and immediatley closed her eyes "to see if I can feel the same way blind people do". I don't know if any of you watched "Extreme Home Makeover" last night, but it was about a family with 4 blind members, 1 deaf and a mother who had no physical disabilities caring for everyone. Truely inspiring! Anyway, before the show was even over MC began signing to me over and over and over.......well, you know her. She walked up to bed with her eyes closed and walked down this morning the same way. I love her! She is such a gentle spirit and I am so blessed to have her in my life.
ML made us all a wonderful dinner. It is so great to have a child who loves you so much she is willing to serve. Servanthood is such a gift that I hope she never looses. Dinner was pasta shells stuffed with lots of good ?, lima beans, garlic bread and mandarin oranges. She washed dishes and even folded laundry without being asked! What a blessing she is! She also told me if I needed one of her kidneys, I could have it. She is very worried about what might be wrong but so selfless at the same moment. Amazing!
LG gave me a piece of a tile (?) and told me it was special. I told her I would keep it forever and stuck it in the front of my Bible. We read horse stories and snacked on Cheez-its together. I love these moments when all is perfect. She is my baby and I'm having a hard time letting her grow up. Last night she wanted to watch the video our mission team produced about their trip to Hondurous over and over. She wants to help "those kids who don't have much".
So, with that being said....we have been collecting money in our mission jar for a couple of months now. Today we decided to cash it in and buy clothes for the children in Hondurous. We had $48 and went to The Place. God knew we were coming- all childrens' clothes were half price! We bought 26 complete outfits, many extra shirts and pants, and 4 light weight coats for $43.38. Can you believe we had money left!
I will stop writing now- I could go on and on! Please keep me, S, and our family in your prayers Thursday and when we get the results. God is good and I have peace!
Amazed by His grace,
