Just One More

*I don't think my words will do this post justice....please, bear with me.

In 2010, I received an email.  This was an email like many others I receive- about Down Syndrome and adoption and following God's call for our lives.  Yet something about this email was different, and God urged me to move forward.  Little did I know that the impact this one email would have on my life would leave me changed.  It was a message for me directly from God.

The email was from a fellow adoptive momma who had 2 little ones with DS.  She was funny (HILARIOUS!) and witty and had a passion for our Heavenly Father and His children like noone I had ever met.  In the time I have known her, she and her husband have not only welcomed more children into their home "forever", but they have also provided respite and been a safe haven for children facing family uncertainty and substance abuse.

It's funny because her husband said one day that he was convinced we are separated at birth.  We tend to think the same thoughts....often around the same time.  When I call or text her to tell her something I've done, she often just did it, too.:)  Or was about to tell me to do it.  And so, I was not surprised when she told me about a little girl she had seen.

I had just read about her and seen her beautiful face.  She lived in China with an American missionary family after being abandoned at birth and needed a mommy and daddy to love her forever.  To snuggle her close when she fell down.  To tell her how perfect and wonderful and loved she IS not only by them but by our Heavenly Father.  Oh, and yes, she has Down Syndrome.

After much prayer, my friend's family knew that this precious treasure was to be theirs....forever.
And so I would like to introduce you to the soon-to-be newest member of the Campbell family......
Beautiful Meadow.

But there is so much more to the Campbell family story.  Some time ago, they were contacted by an organization called Kingdom Builders.  In short, Kingdom Builders asked Dawn and Keith if they could build them a house.  WHAT?!?!  It's what Dawn and I refer to as "Extreme Home Makeover.....GOD STYLE!!"  This would be a house that would give full accessibility to any children in the Campbell family with special needs and provide space for any additional children God had planned for them.  After much planning, volunteering and love the celebration to welcome the Campbells into the "House that God Built" is being held this Sunday!!!  Woohoo!!  Just another promise of God's provision.

One thing you won't read on the Kingdom Builder's site is that since their "Just One More" page (go read about this amazing family!) was written, handsome little Elias has also joined their family (and yes, he also is rockin' a little something extra).

So, back to Meadow.  And here is where I come to each of you....BEGGING, PLEADING that God moves hearts.  I LOVE this family!  I LOVE what God is doing in their lives.  And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that their "yes" is always just that.  A couple of years ago, Dawn and Keith decided that their children needed Dawn at home, so they now do it all on Keith's pastor salary.  Adoption is expensive but God has provided over and over.  We all just witnessed this with Kate's adoption.  Adoption is a business and it stinks, but regardless of that fact, there are millions of children waiting without families today. PLEASE, join us in doing our part to make sure that Meadow will not be one of those children much longer.

The "Nest Shop" is open once more.  This time all proceeds will go directly to Meadow's adoption fund.  I cannot wait to see what God does with this for this incredible family and PERFECT little girl!! If you are interested in purchasing a Mother's Nest, Precious Pearl or Down Syndrome Awareness Necklace, please send me a message on FB or email me at nogreatergiftmom@yahoo.

In Him,
E
