Sorry....I've got nothin'

That's right...nothin'. No news. Prayerfully, by tomorrow night I'll know something terribly exciting. A hint-

This photo was taken a year ago- I can't wait to see what she looks like now.

One prayer request- evidently H1N1 is rampant in Eastern Europe. These countries don't have access to the medical care and supplies that we do here. Many government agencies, businesses and even schools are closing for several weeks in Ruslana's country. Please pray for these people especially the children. Orphans aren't looked at very kindly there and any extras (medical supplies, disinfectant supplies, etc) will not make it to the orphanages. Prayer is the only thing that can protect these angels.

In Him,

E

*I am considering giving up one of my travel bags to make it a donation bag- hand sanitizers, socks, etc to donate to R's orphanage. If you have any "in's" or any suggestions, please let me know. The things we take for granted are what these angels need most right now.

Still praying!!

I think the donation bag is a great idea. We're thinking of doing the same when we go next year. Another thing that I've heard suggested is toothbrushes, which you can get so cheap here in the states. I'm sure diapers would be appreciated too, but they'd take up a lot of space that might be better used for other smaller items.

I have heard that most orphanages LOVE baby powder. That could be an option.

Give us a list of things for your bag - we want to help. Wonderful idea.

Trusting for GOOD news soon.

I, too, am concerned about all the precious orphans who will be affected by the outbreak. So unfair.

Love you, friend. I am sooooo excited for you.

Elizabeth, socks, shampoo, lotion, and chapstick are always on the list for the organization for which I volunteer (hiskidstoo.org) Hand sanitizer and wipes would be great but check with someone who is over there regularly to make sure that they will use them and understand the concept (they are pretty hard headed about a lot of things). We always collect black socks because the floors are so dirty and the socks get black so quickly. Keeping you all in our prayers and hoping for good news very soon!
