Three Years Ago Today

Three years ago today my phone rang.  My heart skipped a beat as I read the number.  And then, my heart started racing as the sweet voice on the other end said, "He will be born in about a hour."  We knew it could be any day, but he was not scheduled to enter the world until later that week.
Our lives are forever changed.

I will never be able to put into words how God has used this precious boy to change us.  Tears stream down my face just typing those words.  He is simply amazing in every single way.

With tear stained cheeks,  I hugged my mom and daughters goodbye.  Never in my wildest dreams could I have known what gift my God had waiting for me.  He kept that secret to Himself.:)

Who knew that a little boy, who so much of the world sees as "imperfect", would, in fact, shine perfection to all he meets!

I wish you could meet him.  I wish you could hear his laugh.  I so wish you could feel his chubby little arms wrapped around your neck.  But what I wish even more is that you could witness him kiss me so sweetly and hear his precious voice say, "I love you, momma."

Perfection.  Created in our Heavenly Father's imagine.  A perfection that most of the world never gets to see.  The voice most of the world chooses not to hear.

My son.  The one that God uses daily to make me better.  The one that I pray will open hearts and change the world for other individuals with special needs.

On this day we celebrate LIFE!  A life that could not have been.  A life that many choose to take.
The life of my son.

So on this day we celebrate the life of the most incredible little boy I have ever met.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY PERFECT SON!!!

I LOVE that tiny curved pinky!!
In Him,
E
