My heart...

This is one reason we are selling. I can't stand the thought of all we have while so many are dying. Yet we continue to buy, continue you want. It's all so shallow and frivolous! When is enough enough?!! I am not pointing fingers nor am I accusing anyone. I am just letting you know how I feel about myself.

You have to remember though, Eba, that you were born here and you were given this life as a gift. A life in the US where we are given a lot more opportunity than many other countries. It is not about feeling bad about what you have, because you cannot help that you were born here - but it is about what you DO with what you have. Be proud to be so fortunate, LOVE that you are so fortunate, but always remember that you are fortunate and help those that are in need. It is about what you do with your life every single day, who you help, your outlook - you were given YOUR fortunate life for a reason. Be proud of it and make a difference. It is not something to be ashamed of. Those that we see as being 'less fortunate' don't see themselves that way. My experience in Honduras showed me that they have never known anything else, they have never seen the world, they do not see themselves as 'less fortunate' - they were happy with their lives, their families, their situations because they didn't know anything else. WE are the ones that take the weight of feeling sorry for them, etc... we should be proud of where we are but always remember what is truly important, which is what these ppl focus on every day.
