Well, hubby and I are heading to an "orientation" meeting tomorrow night at Bethany. Literally, they are the ONLY homestudy agency we have been able to find to do a foster adoption study here in our state. The study will be paid for by the state as long as we adopt from our state. We will pay for it if we end up choosing/being matched with a sibling set from out of state. That's fine and what we have been expecting throughout this whole process anyway.
My calls to the governmental offices haven't been answered yet. Maybe tomorrow I'll hear something and we can figure all this out.
In other news, anyone have chickens? I know certain types have better tempermants than others and some lay better eggs than others. Any suggestions? We have "Cluckingham Palace" waiting.
In Him,
E

Um, you must not be reading my blog because we have 20 out of 22 good eggs that are going to be hatching in a couple weeks-we'll send you some chicks ;) LOL Glad you have your Bethany appointment! YAY!
No Jen, I have been reading! We have been thinking about chickens for a while now and you have inspired me. Hubby says "thanks!".

I have chickens! Can you tell? We currently have:
a Black Minorca (in photo),a Buff Orphington,an Ameraucana(fun green/blue eggs),a Cuckoo Maran(chocolate brown eggs),a sussex,
a Rhode Island Red and a Light Brahma. I enjoy my chickens more than I ever thought I would, they are fun. I am sure your girls will love them too. We are lucky all of ours are very well mannered and quite friendly. My kiddos were very involved with them from the start. We are planning to add a Buff Minorca, a salmon Faverolle and a Silver Laced Wyandotte next month. I have a great little chicken book called 'Pocketful of Poultry' it is small but very informational and has great pics.
