**JUST GOT WORD THAT EASTERN EUROPE SEEMS TO BE BACK UP AND RUNNING!! PLEASE, PRAY WE CAN GET RUSLANA SOON!!**
First, I want to tell each of you that we have complete peace about our decision to move forward with baby boy's adoption (still working on a name:). We can't wait for him to be here and hold him in our arms. We know God has orchestrated this entire process and His hands will guide us. Time and time again we have seen Him in our adoption journey to Ruslana. Complete strangers are praying, sending notes and donating to help us get our girl home.
Which leads me to the dreaded "m" word. Money. Several of you have asked if you can help with emergency fundraising. YES- fundraise away!! This adoption is costing us, though not nearly what people think it costs for a domestic adoption. I will just lay it all out there for 'ya. Basically, since he has a special need, the agency fees have been reduced tremendously! So, baby boy's adoption will end up costing $6000 plus ICPC fees and our travel/accomodations in Florida. We will be driving because it's not terribly far (and we can take our time coming back home with a newborn!).
ADOPTION GRANTS AND LOANS- Does anyone have any suggestions? There are so many for adoptions, and we are overwhelmed. Without being able to sit at home on my own computer (yes, no internet until late next week- ugh!!), it's hard for me to get much done. Please, let me know if you have any suggestions.
As I said in a previous post, we are so close to being fully funded for Ruslana's adoption- really only about $2000 away. AMAZING!! God has provided every penny at the exact moment we needed it. I am in awe of the way He speaks to people. Those who are not financially "well off" have given because God spoke to them. Children have donated from their own piggy banks. Other adopting families (who are still fund raising themselves!) have given. Amazing.
In the past 24 hours, I believe we have EVERYTHING we need for this angel. Clothes, toys, stroller, carseat, crib, bassinet, highchair....everything. I looks like all we'll need to shop for are diapers, bottles and formula. God is so good and continues to show us that He is in control.
Thank you for your continued support. I am so blessed to know each of you. I am adding a new chipin and will leave it up for a couple of weeks. It's crunch time and we have lots to do.
In Him,
E
