The Earth lost a warrior today. Derek Loux, 37, passed away earlier this morning. I knew Derek and Renee through Reece's Rainbow. Almost one year ago they were in Ukraine adopting 3 little boys (2 with Down syndrome). They have 11 children (one in heaven)- 8 adopted. Derek was both passionate about Christ and adoption. A warrior in the true sense of the word.
Although Derek received the most amazing Christmas present just a few hours ago, Renee, their children and entire family are left here to mourn. Please lift this family up over and over and over. As broken as I am to here this news, Derek rejoices today!!!

Oh, so sad. I'd never heard of this family before, but what a beautiful picture of God's love. Praying for this family as they move forward through this tragedy.
I was devestated to hear the news earlier today. I am praying for Renee and the kids. My heart aches for them.

Just today, yesterday, and during this Christmas season I have periodically prayed for those who have recently lost loved ones, and are suffering in this season. Even though I didn't have names I felt the need to pray, and I will continue to do so. Blessings....I love your blog by the way. You're an awesome Mom!
