This past Saturday we had our I600A digital fingerprint appointment. It was originally planned for August 21st but because our angel boy was born that week, we had to reschedule. Praise God that they got us back in so quickly!
To other adoptive mommy's out there- how long should I wait before I begin harassing them? And how long should I plan on waiting for approval? I can't stand it!! We MUST submit very soon before Ruslana's country closes in November for 3 months! She just HAS to be home before her 5th birthday in January. I can't believe I've known about her since she was 2 and she's almost 5. It breaks my heart to know that we've missed so much of her life, but I cling to God and know that His timing is perfect.
She is beautiful and I long for the day I can hold her in my arms. Please, keep praying for us and expedited approval both state side and in Eastern Europe.

We got our approval THREE DAYS after we were fingerprinted!!
Since you already have the referral of the child you will be adopting, it goes faster, and IF your homestudy was sent in prior to your fingerprint appt. it goes faster.
I would give it a few weeks though...each state is different!
Yes...you must go before those courts close down! Three months...that is a long time!
