The Story Continues...

She almost floated away...

Oh yes. We have had so much rain over the past week- in some areas as much as 15 inches since last Friday. Businesses and schools have been closed. Crazy, I tell you. Thankfully, we've hardly had any thunder or lightning so the girls were able to at least play outside a bit. What's more fun than playing in the rain?
Sunday was a very special day. Some dear friends of ours blessed us with a baby shower (fitting title considering the weather:) of sorts. Really, it was a day for those close to us to get together and celebrate our sweet baby boy's life and the anticipation of Ruslana's homecoming. Some of them had never met our angel. Of course, he was as perfect as ever and was either sleeping or just looking around peacefully. I tell you, he is the sweetest baby we have ever had! Here's a picture of my sister having to be escorted to her car after the party.

I had planned on doing a photoshoot over a week ago of all 4 kiddos together, but because of the rain, it just never happened. I know that soon enough the rain will clear and we'll be face to face with a beautiful fall. This has to be my favorite time of year!
I'd like to say that sweet boy is doing this on his own (well, actually I'm glad I can't say that- he's already growing too fast), but this was staged. Oh, he's just the snuggliest thing ever!

And one last photo- our sleeping angel. See the satin/minky blanket he has near his face? That is a favorite and puts him to sleep instantly when snuggled up beside him.

And here is another of our sweetie. I wanted to show all of you how tiny he still is. This is the typical infant carseat. We believe he's right around 9lbs now. We're heading down to the doctor in the next week or so providing we find the right match- Down syndrome knowledgeable and immunization friendly.

**USCIS UPDATE- Because of all the rain we've had, we haven't been able to meet with Nathan. He would like to meet tomorrow morning to receive our additional documents and grant approval (we pray!). I'll keep you posted.
In Him,
E

He is completely edible!!!! So precious, friend. So tiny.

You have the rain--we have the snow--for three days non-stop. I think I'd rather have the rain :) 30 degrees and me just don't go well together.

Love you.

The Picture of your sweet boy holding his bottle is precious! My Hunter held his own bottle at 7 days old! He is so strong! Isn't it awesome to get so excited over sweet little accomplishments! =D
